-The pipes vibrate while the water is running.

-Pipes don’t shake at low flow.

-Some examples when pipe vibrate: vibrate when sprinkler system turns on or two toilets run at same time or washing machine is running.

I'm pretty sure it's NOT water hammer because that happens when the water is turned off and my pipes shake when the water is running.

Any ideas on how to fix or what the problem is?

Thanks.

  2. seeing as it does it while the sprinklers are on also ,and the sprinkler system has its own back-flow prevention and shut off ,that tells me that when you hear this sound you should walk out to your water meter . I'm sure you will notice that it is allot louder there. when you discover that this is true ,dig up the front of the meter to see if YOU ,not the city has a back-flow installed there .if not ,call the city and have the meter replaced for free. for me to try to explain would get too indept ,try it and your problem will be resolved.

  3. Fasten the pipes in more places. That should sort it out.
