When I updated windows, my computer stopped working, I need help! ?

About half an hour ago, I used the windows update button to get xp service pack 2, and now I can only run my computer in safe mode. I already restored my computer via a restore point, and when I tried again, the same thing happened. Im in safe mode right now. PLZ HELP!

Go to Updates in Control Panel and remove your last SP3 update from history.

The big question is if you are using a licensed version. If you are MS is at your disposal. If not feel free to browse through various forums online as the problem requires specific details.

your computer might be corrupted now. if nothing you try works then you just might have to reformat

oh and i suggest you install black xp

I had a similar problem earlier tonight when I installed Service Pack 3. Although my PC was working, I had stuff all over the place and missing. I tried a system restore but it didn't work. So I uninstalled SP3 and everything seems to be working better. I'll try again at a later date as I really don't know what the h**l happened.
