When I want to go to a web site & clear the top line, a long menu of possibilities show up. How do I delete?

Click somewhere in the middle of the site address.  This will highlight the text and anything you write will overwrite the previous address.

go to tools, then internet options, then history, then delete all history.

Clear your browsing history. For Internet Explorer got to Tools>Internet Options and you will find how to clear your history. For Firefox Go to tools>Options and clear private data.

Click on tools at the top of your screne. Then click on internet options. A pop-up window will open. Then you should be able to click on "clear history".  When you close the internet and open it back up, you will notice all of the history is gone and you can start fresh.
