If anyone else heard it, no one ever did. Anyone else ever heard a loud buzzing sound, like insects?

  1. Scrouser has the right answer

  2. If you lived in the midwest, southwest or southeast the sound you heard was probably due to cicadas (pronounced Se-Kay-Da) a large winged insect that hangs around in the trees and buzzes quite loudly in the summer heat. Cicadas are sometimes incorrectly called locusts.

  3. If no one else heard it, it was probably "Tinnitus"

That's medical language for "hearing buzzing sounds in your ears". It just happens, not dangerous, no reason, no cure.

  4. not realy
