  1. He used to be a lot more comfortable....but I'm sure he is making sure that he doesn't say the wrong thing because I feel that HMS keeps a tight lease on it's drivers.


  2. he has been fined before for speaking and not thinking, cussing on tv. so now i  think  he tries to think of the words to say and it comes across awkward.

    I seem to remember his daddy being the same way. Although Sr was the intimidator he was also a seemingly humble person that was not fond of interviews. Jr seems rather shy and during his interviews he gives credit where it is due and admits his own faults. He certainly is not a cocky or arrogant big mouth.

    Maybe if you put down your joy stick and listened you would have a differant opinion....

  12. Basically Jr's not comfortable doing interviews. If you watch him when he's hosting something like Back In The Day, he does'nt come across that way.

  15. I do not think he like cameras and crapped shoved into his face. He just wants to drive and heck after a 400+ mile drive in hot temperatures I would not want to do an interview either and my brain would be on auto pilot.  A lot of times when he is doing an interview I think he wishes that he could be with his crew and team.  They mean more to him then the stupid media.

  16. Seems like he can't think of an answer. He usually speaks two or three words and stops for up to five seconds to complete a sentence. We've timed him.

    It's sad-don't know if he can't handle being interviewed in front of millions of people or that's just how his brain processes.

    "Those last few laps I saw so much ignorance and just saw some real risk-takers out there," he said after finishing eighth. "Some of it was ignorance even though it was still amazing to watch.

    "We should have won, you know. Had the best car. But there at the end, man, I didn't want to be racing with any of them guys out there I was around."

  19. Jr. just doesn't feel comfortable doing interviews or being around "people" people. On NASCAR 360 when spotlighting him, he always takes off to his trailor after a race and rarely stops to autograph anything or chat with people.  You see him signing before a race sometimes but he stays hidden most of the time.

    ONE TOO MANY you have a real top contributor envy don't you???  Thats the second post I have seen of yours saying  "top contributors uneducated sarcastic answers...etc..."  get a freekin life!!!!
