When Queen Elizabeth II dies, how big will her Funeral be?

Hopefully not for a long time to come, but when her time comes, will it this historic event be bigger than Princess Di's - or the Pope's - funeral services?

Bigger than Diana's probably slightly smaller then the Pope's. A lot has changed since she came to the throne and the only comparable event is the Queen Mother's funeral but due to her age and the fact that she was a Queen consort not a Queen Regnant means that the funeral was smaller had she been the reigning monarch.

That's why HRH should step down graciously and let HRH the Prince of Wales to become the Sovereign of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Nations.

It would be cheaper, less taxing for the subjects.

It will be big....bigger than Diana's, as far as pomp and circumstance goes.

But the media attention that is given to the event cannot be as easily predicted as the pomp and circumstance the royal family will give it.

You cannot buy that kind of publicity.

If it does not generate sales, then the media will not be interested. Without promotion encouraging the need to be the same as everyone else, I think it will be a quieter affair

It will be gigantic. Maybe bigger than the Pope's-after all, she has reigned for 55 years.

It would be one of the biggest funerals of our generation or even the next generation. It would be bigger then Di's but it could be just as big as the popes.
