I'm currently a Sirius subscriber, and I was wondering if anybody knows if I'll need to buy a new radio after merger, or will both receivers work?

Thanks

  1. No, you won't need to buy a new radio, but you will only get a limited set of the XM programming on your Sirius radio. And the same goes for XM subscribers, they will only get a limited set of the Sirius programming.

  2. There will be several subscription  plans if the merger goes through.

You won't have to buy a new radio if you want:

-Exactly what you have now as far as programming

    -Sirius's talk/sports programming only

    -Sirius's music programming only

-All of Sirius programming plus 10 selected XM channels

You will have to buy a new radio if you want:

-One of the a la carte plans to choose 50 or 100 channels.

  3. they haven't even decided to merge yet.  but if anyone over there has any business sense, they will create a kickass radio that will make people want to change.  theoretically however, you shouldn't have to buy a new one.  also Howard Stern sux
