It doesn't matter what other people thought it only mattered what Stone Cold thought. Do honestly think for a second if he thought Owen Hart had done it on purpose that Austin wouldn't have done the same thing to him or worse. And those fans,myself included, who had watched him wrestle long before he went to the W.W.E. knew he would never do that to any other wrestler on prupose. After all Stu ahd taught him to be better than that. But then again some people will always believe the worst about somebody.

He never did it on purpose.  He just botched the move. Owen was not known for botching moves, but everyone botches occasionally. Except for Batista, because he botches all the time.

It wasn't on purpose but if you read The Stone Cold Truth, Stone Cold says that he and Owen were discussing the match and Stone Cold suggested he do a Tombstone and he told him to drop to his knees and Owen said he was dropping down to his butt. Stone Cold thought he was joking and when it happened he had no room to cushion himself, so he broke his neck

That's false. That would be stupid if that happened. He accidentally feel off its not his fault. I heard something about Owen being afraid of heights in Bret Hart Bio.
