  1. since Thanksgiving is an american tradition (you know, the story with the indians and pilgrims sharing food) I doubt the germans celebrate it...

  3. Yes, they have an Erntedank Fest, which is usually in October on a Sunday. It is a fest, where the farmers are celebrating their crops and being grateful for a good harvesting. Kids at school are asked to bring some canned goods and sugar, flower etc to school to give the goods to the not so fortunate.

    Erntedankfest dinner is usually a goose or duck with bread dumplings and potatoes dumplings and cabbage.
