When Traveling Alone What Should I Expect?

What should I expect? I'm flying alone from North Carolina to California on 8-31-2008. I'm a fat woman and I only purchased one ticket. I'm flying with Delta Airlines and I need to know if they'll make me buy another seat. I've traveled with them before with two small kids so that was different I had extra seats.

My sister just flew alone (except it was California-North Carolina) and she's a big woman too and they didn't say anything to her.

I'm 20 years old and extremely nervous about the whole thing. What should I expect?
