  1. I think all the details are being worked out in who will get what...

    But apparently you will need a new radio to get the Sirius programming also


  2. Not immediately, as Gearbox says they're still trying to figure out all the details. One nice thing, there'll be no interruption nor degradation of service. It will  take a while to get the new deals in place. They've also got to figure out how to get hardware into the marketplace that will pick up both satellites.

    Eventually I think you'll see package deals where you can select your favorite 50 from each at $6-$7 - that's already been announced by Mel Karmazin the CEO. The other deals will be introduced over time.

  3. No.  Here are the only plans that will give you any Sirius programming:

    - A la carte 2: choose 100 channels (a combination of Sirius and XM) for (I think) $14.99 (requires a new, post-merger radio)

    - All XM + 11 (pre-determined) Sirius channels
