  1. You have to get a physical in order to start boxing. They do that, just to check there is nothing wrong with you. If something is wrong with you, you train a lot and something happens to you , it will be your trainer's fault for not asking for a physical.

    I don't understand what you are trying to ask in your second question.


  2. you should of coarse let your trainer know you intend to fight b/c then your trainer will be best prepared to train you.

    if by asking for a medical you been a doctor's approval to fight then yes in most cases of boxing you will need that, but you probably won't get that from a trainer unless he is also a doctor but even then you might still need another doctor so as not to give a biased opinion.

  3. Actually it's not up to the trainer to make sure you get a physical, depends on if your looking to be a professional, you need to go through various exams, such as the EKG, eye,coordination, brain scan etc, this is usually done by the commissioner of the state you are boxing in. Between your management team and promoter this should be done.  Amateurs you should be checked by your doctor to make sure you are fit for the very strenuous activity your about to experience.
