  1. just tell them that you dont want to eat meat for whatever your reasons are, and if they dont want you to be just boycott the food they give you and make your own.

    http://www.peta2.com/STUFF/s-recipe.asp

that website has a lot of recipes and grab-and-go food to eat, but most of it is vegan (no milk, no eggs, no animal, period). but you can use your regular cheese and stuff instead of the the stuff they use.

  2. i am a vegetarian i have been one since i was 4 or 5 years old one day i just went up to my mom and said i want to b a vegetarian because at that time i had just discovered were the meat came from so i felt bad about eatin poor Little cows and chickens

I AM STILL A VEGETARIAN AND I'M 12 NOW SO THAT IS 7 OR 8 YEARS WITH OUT EATING MEAT AND I NEVER PLAN TO EAT MEAT EVER AGAIN UNLESS I HAVE SOME LIFE THREATENING DISEASE AND HAVE TO EAT MEAT

  3. You say

"Mom, I am becoming a vegetarian."

Try tofu. Then you will know whether you like it or not.

Are you not going to eat fish either?

Google vegetarian recipes. You will find creative ones.

  4. well, im NOT a VEGETARIAN but my sister is and when she told my parents that she was going to be a vegetarian they were telling her that one it was not going to healthy for her since she has a bone density problem but....she's been a vegetarian for over 5 years now and she's really healthy! you should just get as much protein and calcium those are 2 important ones you need. i don't know recipes but. i know that TRADER JOE'S has A LOT of VEGETARIAN & VEGAN foooooood! hope everything goes good with your parents! (:

    HOPED i helped! (:

    && GOOD LUCK!

  5. Find scientific proof on the web that vegetarian stuff is enough to feed one.Authorities with titles like doctor of medical sciences etc can pesuade anyone, they DO approve to the idea of complete sufficiency of vegetarian food for ahuman.Next a very serious sites of governmental origin:

  6. errr..

    "mom,i'm a vegetarian now"

lol..thats what i did..I think your parents would agree, since its healty anyway

i usually do toffu or cooking some chinese cuisine that only use vegetables..just do search on google or something, trust me,being a vegietarian is funnn, lol,it made me healthier and happier

  7. Tell them very dramatically like say you are not going to continue eating meat because....... explain to them that animals get treated poorly, and stuff

PS r u sure you r done with meat???? wont ya miss steak and bacon

Plus I am also a total Jonas bro fan!!! I went to their concert with hannah, Nick is so HAWT!!! Too bad he has diebeties

  8. i just woke up one day and told my mom, hey im vegetarian ok?? after that i'd always eat regular food and whatever had meat i just got without it....like sandwiches without ham....to me they tasted exactly the same. :)

just ask ur mom to not put any meat on ur food...separate stuff u know?! :) good luck!

  9. I'm not a vegetarian but my befriend's whole family are vegans and they make this dish that is delicious:

It's extra firm tofu (that's the only kind I really like because of the texture)

and you coat it in powdered yeast (which can be found at health food stores or like a trader joes, or wegmans)

put some olive oil in the pan and fry it - AWESOME!

Also I LOVE rice milk by Dream Rice - vanilla kind

good luck! And I'm sure your parents will be cool with it, just explain this is what you want to do and it's quite healthy just don't get stuck eating junk food (that's something I've heard a lot from people that are new at being vegetarians)

  10. There are plenty of good vegetarian foods out there, go to an organic grocery shop or something of the likes.  That way, you know the fruit and veg and whatever other products they are selling only contain what they say and have the least amount of preservatives, etc.

If you want to become vegetarian, it is not something to be taken lightly.  It is a huge change in your diet and you have to make sure you are getting enough vitamins and minerals, especially iron, zinc and protein.

Telling your mom about you wanting to become vegetarian shouldn't be too hard.  Just casually say that you wanted to try becoming vegetarian.  Give your main reason for this and say that you want her support in it and that you are committed to it.

Be up to trying new foods, there are heaps of soy products on the market now a days.

Anyway, when I told my mom that I wanted to become vegetarian I was 12.  I told her that I was going to do it and that nothing was going to stop me.  It's been five years and I haven't had a piece since.  She didn't believe that I would stick to it (nor did anyone else) and the night I declared what I was doing she made lamb chops and waved them in my face.

Check out the vegetarian society.  It's on the net.  There are free recipes on the site and info for becoming vegetarian.  It is something to look out for.

    Good luck.

  11. ahahahah

    you think too hard

    mac n cheese is good

just tell you parents your not comfortably with eating meat, just tell one of them at first though

  12. Ok about two months ago i was just like you so this is what i did.

I told my mum when we were watching a tv show (make sure its not your mums favourite) and ,i bought up that some time ago i started reseaching animal crulty and how live stock is treated.

Then i said i would like to go Vegetarian and I wish for her full support.

  13. I just brought it up while I was talking to my mom one night. For a while my parents figured it was just a phase and kept trying to make me eat meat, but eventually they accepted it, and now they help me out when it comes to meals. If your parents are what mine used to be like a couple of years ago, they won't know what you'd really be able to eat. Find a health food store, they have a lot of vegetarian dinners and food! Try as much as you can so you'll know what you like and be able to have some variety. Definitely try tofu dogs and veggie burgers. And you can even make yourself sandwiches using fake salami, a tofu spread and lots of salad and tomatos! I could never really figure out how to make tofu taste good by itself, but it's great in terriyaki style meals, cuz it soaks up the different flavors. It takes a while to get used to the taste of eveything, but trust me eventually things will start tasting more and more like meat the longer you go without having the real thing. If you're quitting meat cold turkey (no pun intended lol), pleeease make sure you don't just eat whatever doesn't have meat on the table when your parents cook dinner. I did that for about almost a year and became really anemic. Good luck!
