When a Nascar team wins a race do others get a bonus?

While talking to the mother of one the #12 team's crew members she told me that when the #12 team wins that all of the #2 team also gets a "victory bonus" and vice versa. Do you think other teams do this as well? If the #20 team is making money off of all the #18 team's wins do you think that explains Tony's lame duck season? Why should he race hard....Kyle's bringing home the bacon! I know this is a loaded question....just meant to be fun. Tell me your thoughts.

Not so much, most of the money goes to the team and the owner.

Some does get spread to other teammates, like knowledge and whatnot.

But that's it.

The driver, owner and maufacturer all get "winners bonus'" for a win.

The team as a whole getting a overall bonus might be something the team owner does for all the hard work ALL the team members put in.

I believe hendrick motorsports does that. Rick himself said it once in a interview.

Most likely true  12 would not have won Daytona this year without the push from Kurt. Teams should and do work together on the track therefore to encourage working together a bonus makes sense

i'm pretty sure i've heard interviews and/or read stories that hendrick, gibbs, and penske all do something like that - if any of their drivers wins, everyone in the shop gets a bonus. others probably do that as well, but those are ones i've heard or read about. i'm guessing that the actual team members of the winner probably get a little more, but that i couldn't say for sure. i do know that this year goodyear has started giving 100 commemorative coins to each winning team, with the driver, crew chief, and owner getting the big ones, and the rest going to those most closely involved with the actual win.

NASCAR is a team sport and the teams try their best to spread the money around to benefit each car. Still, when the 12 car wins, they will still get the most amount of money, they are just showing good sportsmanship.
