  1. Well drinks (also called rail drinks) are usually made with the cheaper liquor the bar keeps in the "well" or "rail" in front of the bartender.  You don't get to choose your brand.  

    I know this isn't your question, but "Call drinks" are when you specify (call) the brand of liquor you would like in your drink.


  2. Cheep liquor, that's what well drinks are made out of.

  3. Well drinks are the cheap, non name-brand alcohol.  Like you can have super cheap tequilla in a drink or you can have Patron (which is good).  The well drinks are cheap because they have worse quality liquor.
