When a car has 180k miles on it what all in it would need to be replaced?

im thinking of getting a 4 cylinder 2.8L twin turbo engine put in but i want to know how much that would cost and what else would need to be put in to lower my miles

  1. everything...

    most importantly the timing belt, especially if you don't know when it was done.

    If you buy the repair manual or have the owners manual for your particular vehicle, the maintanance schedule info will be in there.

  2. Don't waste your time & money installing that power plant.  The worn drive-line won't last if you start hammering on it.

  3. Depends, what has already been replaced? If it has been well maintained, it may need nothing. If it's been neglected, it may need more money put into it than what it's worth.
