When a carpet is replaced, is spraying a light mist of tea tree onto the floorboards a bad idea?

The aim is to fight invisible baddies like bacteria and mould, but would just a spray actually be harmful because it would make the wood very slightly wet?

(I haven't got the tea tree oil yet, so just an idea!)

  1. never heard of such a thing.

I use Tea tree on my skin!

Why not just use white vinegar...it will clean it up plus remove odors

  2. never heard of some1 doing that

  3. I think if the spray was a fine mist it would dry fast enough,I like using tea tree as a natural remedy for a few things. I always put a few drops in a new bottle of shampoo, my daughter had gotten head lice a long time ago and I started doing that and as long as I kept it up she was never re infested at school. I have sprayed on pet bedding to ward off fleas too.
