  1. A

  2. It is C

  3. B the air pressure begins to fall because cold fronts usually produce storms

  4. C. The significance of the wind change can be an indicator of the strength of front.

    B. is not correct due to the fact that fronts and low pressure systems are separate entities. A cold front can carry with it a low pressure system or a troth (an elongated low pressure system) but it is not required.

    A. This answer choice is unclear due to questions of the scope of time of which you are talking about. When a cold front passes through a place, the temperature will drop due to the replacement of warmer air with colder air and the creation of unstable air, but it could be stipulated that the temperature will rise sometime.

  5. Wow, you got some whacked out answers. I think the person who said "C" was the most accurate.

With cold frontal passage, the surface temperature begins to fall due to the cold air pushing through. The front is the boundary created between the warm and cold air. Also, the surface pressure begins to rise as the high pressure begins to build in behind the cold front.

    That eliminates A and B.

Option C is true, as you'll see a wind shift from southwest to west/northwest as the cold front passes.

    Hope this explains it better.
