Was a story in the news about people pretending to be cops and charging the motorist for speeding. Then collecting the fake fine on the spot.

  1. no never

  2. When you get a ticket with the police you'll get a summons.  The summons is a notice to appear in court to have your charges heard by a judge.  You sometimes, however, have the option of pleading guilty to the ticket and then prepaying it.

A real police officer WILL NOT ask you for money when you get pulled over due to the above mentioned reason.

  3. you have the right to appeal and so he will ask you if you want to if so he will give a court date.if you don't reply you get bentch warrant

  4. no.

  5. No.  They will always give you a ticket(of those that issue tickets) and give you the opportunity to contest it in court.  Otherwise they'll issue you a warning citation, or just tell you to be careful and not ticket you at all.  They'll never collect money right then.  If that happens, call the law.  Get all the info on the vehicles that pull you over.

  6. No.  You can always go to court court to dispute a ticket, so you are not presumed "guilty" when you get the ticket... so you do not have to pay the fine at that time either.

  7. no collection of fines, its called a bribe
