When a dentist fills a tooth, is it supposed to bleed?

Because, Mine has bled before....I don't know if it's because the cavity is so deep, or what, but it's jsut about to my gums. It's like...Without the filling in there, it's hollow...my tooth just has the sides. No front, adn no back...So yeah...Just wondering...

  1. Mine always has. Usually if your gum was a little irritated that is where the blood is coming from


  2. Sorry about my first answer than, but when i got my fillings they did not bleed they were just very sensitive.  If your filling is bleeding i would suggest going back to the dentist and being safe by asking if it is normal.  Remember it is better to be safe than sorry.
