  1. Nope, the ocean.  Of course, and when ocean waves crash against a rocky coast or are raised by the wind, those submerged former droplets emerge to be droplets once again.  And so it goes.


  2. If it retains its identity, then it is.  If it submits itself to the collective, it is no longer.
