Everytime I post something here, I can see people understand me but there are always a bunch that instead of answer me correct my silly mistakes.

  1. I attempt to understand what they're trying to say, but grammatical mistakes that I can recognise shine-out to me, like a beacon. As a native speaker and any native speaker I know of, I'm usually waiting for the next mistake whilst trying to comprehend their speech or writing, so that I may make an adequate response.

  2. I notice both. But, I try to understand what they are saying more. It's kinda like reading some of the posts in yahoo answers  with the god-awful spelling. I can't help but notice the poor grammar but I try to figure out what the question is more.

  3. yeah ive niticed people doing that. next time they do, ask if they can say something in your language!!!

  4. Well, that depends on whether you want to come across as a helpful person or as a grammar n**i, really.

Personally, I concentrate in what the foreign intends to say and only correct their mistakes if they have previously asked me to.

  5. How typical of the young of today. People are putting themselves out to try to teach you to communicate better and all the thanks they get is complaints. Take their criticisms on board and  learn from your mistakes.

  6. haha yes

its definately rude however have u noticed how people respond to them. talking louder? and trying to make what they are saying as clear as possible when that really isnt necesary at all :P
