  1. I think it goes like this:

You bet $100 on a horse race. If the horse wins at odds of 5-1, you win $500.

    Not sure.

  2. a $2 bet on a horse that is 1-5 odds will pay $2.40 so you will only make .40  for that 2 dollar bet.

heres a run down of the odds and pay outs.

    ODDS / PAYS

    1-5/ 2.40

    2-5/ 2.80

    1-2/ 3

    3-5/ 3.20

    4-5/3.60

    1-1/ 4

    6-5/ 4.40

    7-5/ 4.80

    3-2/ 5

    8-5/ 5.20

    9-5/ 5.60

    2-1/ 6

    5-2/ 7

    3-1/ 8

    7-2/ 9

    4-1/ 10

    9-2/ 11

    5-1/ 12

    6-1/ 14

    10-1/ 22

Theses are all for $2 bets.

  3. You bet $100 and if it wins, you get $20.

    I think.

  4. 5-1 means that if u put on 1 u get 5

    1-5 means if u put on 5 u get 1
