  1. I doubt it. I use AC, and haven't even installed the battery.


  2. new laptops: no

    old laptops: yes (like 7+ yrs)

  3. no battery is being used

  4. Technically it is always using the battery power, but when it's plugged in the charger is charging it faster than you're using it. (Assuming it's the proper wattage for the laptop, of course)

  5. not really, it isnt using battery power
