YES...how can you feel for the hernia if you are wearing clothes. if you think u are embarassed, just think that he see/feels balls everyt day and its normal cuz ur not alone. wait till your older and they test prostate and slide fingers up ur butt. you will wish they were JUST feeling ur balls then.

They don't actually feel your balls. What they do is put their finger under them and ask you to cough. When you cough, your balls should react. If they don't, something isn't right. That's all. Do you think the doctor is enjoying it?  They're not.  The last thing they want to do is deal with some immature kid like you that makes a big deal about getting checked for a hernia.  

Drop your trousers, turn, and cough.  No big deal.  The doctor doesn't give a rat's f***y about you (odds are they've a long queue of people in need of care, so just get on with it).  

If you become erect...trust me, you're not the first and you won't be the last.  The doctor isn't going to say or do anything.

It helps that they look to see if your junk hangs correctly and if anything is out of place.  Yes, it's an uncomfortable feeling, but it takes less than a minute.  I was always worried about getting erections, so I have always preferred male doctors - and I've never become erect during an exam.  To each his own.

You will be asked to pull your own pants down.  You may even have to put a gown on for the exam.  They cannot examine you unless you are undressed.

You can take your parent with you, and they can stay in or out of the examination room
