  1. As much as being fellow souls, we are also individual.

What books do you consider serious, serious enough that is, that you would consider they may set you up, for what you believe may cause you to head toward  an inner spiritual disaster

  2. No.  They're just setting themselves up to be stupid.

  3. No, because the world these days is not based out of a book even though it should be (hint hint) in my opinion. Grade school covers some Greek mythology, Maya Angelou, Shakespear, Thomas Moore, Silvia Plath. I personally remember in honors 3-4 english in high school reading a lot about college rather than the classics for example we read a "Tale of Two Cities" again, that was required soft-more year, The Great Gatsby again, "The Gatekeepers" and then the "Tipping Point". All of which made no great impact, positive or negative upon me.

With this being taught in mandatory schooling, and lets acknowledge that some, not all, only go K-12; therefore not necessarily having the advantage to learn more about literature, in general, or wanting to, still  makes for an average, perfectly able bodied, individual and the world still turns. NO differently or in a different direction than it has been going. Religion, Spirituality, or lack there of is not considered a "disaster" in the eyes of the average beholder so to speak unlike earthquakes, terrorism, or global warming which can be agreed upon by most all.
