  1. A comment like "all muslims are scumbags" or that "all muslims should be killed" is not nice and shouldn't get many thumbs up. Some people eventhough it is rare give hateful answers thumbs up and  I don't think it's good. I believe also that one  shouldn't get offended easlily

  2. That there are always going to people who either agree or disagree with you.

  3. Its obvious, some ppl just don't care sometimes.

  4. Is this the border between the sane and the insane: the rational and the irrational?

  5. That the guy who has written the bad answer has a lot of aliases and accounts and goes back and thumbs ups himself over and over and over....

  6. That there's more than one definition of offensive...

  7. go hug a puppy, it might lighten your mood.

oh wait, you're too good for them

  8. Some questioners don't seem to understand that their questions are offensive, then are surprised by caustic answers.

  9. Does it really matter?  Does anyone's opinions change based on the answers they read here?  Do you have any ideas how many times I've refuted that Hitler was an atheist (devout catholic actually, even kept in touch with the pope and talked about god and jesus in his speeches) yet people keep spewing the same BS?

I tend to thumb up well thought out answers, not answers I particularly agree with or disagree with unless they're pure hate speech in which case they get a thumbs down.  I'm not real tolerant of intolerance. *nods*

I see a lot of answers like what you're talking about in the posts where people are not actually seeking information but for others to say "yes, that's right, you're on the money."  A lot of questioners here just want peer acceptance of their beliefs so they feel validated.

  10. It means that some people did not have their senses of humor surgically removed at birth.

It gives me hope for a humanity that seems to always have its knickers in a twist for some reason or another.

  11. Then just think about who among those people post about how tolerant and don't do this and that...

  12. The message we're sending is the American 1st Amendment from the Bill of Rights is still in effect after well-over 300 years, and is now better than ever.

  13. It's only offensive to you because you don't like hearing the truth.

  14. huh?

    i don't get it?

you don't seem to understand the english language.

    you don't make any sense.

therefore you get a negetive answer.

    wa wa wa.

    you are dumb.

    mee boo bee.

    stupid stupid stupid.

    : )

  15. That perhaps the question deserved some mockery?

  16. It means great many people hold this particular opinion.

Offense is, as always, in the eye of the beholder.

  17. the ones i see with the most thumbs up are usually meant to be funny.  you can have faith and a sense of humour, apparently not everyone knows this.

(it's the secret eleventh commandment, 'thou shalt learn how to laugh at thyself, or thou shalt be a miserable bugger')

  18. Usually that there are people in R&S with a sense of humor.

    You choose to be offended!

  19. Luke, you're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view. Anakin was a good friend. When I first knew him, your father was already a great pilot. But I was amazed how strongly the Force was with him. I took it upon myself to train him as a Jedi. I thought that I could instruct him just as well as Yoda. I was wrong.
