I hired a woman to do my slip covers on May 22. It's August 20 and she still hasn't delivered the end product. She told me the slipcovers would be done by the end of July, and we're now approaching the end of August. I think she should discount the cost of the slip covers. Regardless of whether it's realistic to expect a discount, I'd like some input on whether I should ask and for how much (percentage wise).

  1. Did you have a written agreement?

Did you already pay her for them?

If you haven't already paid, I would consider deducting at least 25%. If you have paid it's up to her whether she wants to make it up to you.

    good luck w/this!
