  1. First of all, learn to read what you type.  Secondly, I always like to comment on things I have some knowledge about.  My recommendation is to change the subject.

  2. Usually "God" is of the Bible... Because most other Gods have labels or names other than just "God"... such as Buddha, etc...

For me, it has to be apparent that it is the "God" of the Holy Bible, or I will either question it or stay clear.

  3. do i what?

  4. It depends on the question and if they capitalize the word God.

  5. The gods of other religions are typically called by their name, but not always. I usually look at their avatar and name to Gert a clue about their culture and faith, but that is also not 100% accurate.

  6. I love picking up free points! What's the question?

  7. What is the question?

  8. Generally the first assumption comes from how they spell. Usually if it's in caps or missing the o I assume it's part of the dessert dogmas.

  9. The one and only God.

  10. If a topic of religion is being discussed, in real life, the people involved have probably stated what faiths they follow thus one would know what god is being referenced.

As for Y/A sometimes it is a little difficult to tell, but generally most seem to be referring to the Father, Jesus our Lord and Savior and The Holy Ghost, in some shape, form or fashion.  People referencing any of the other religions tend to reference the specific religion, god or gods they are referring to.

There are of course exceptions.  However from the time I have been here that seems to be the general method of operation.

May Our Creator watch over you and your family.

  11. I always assume they are talking about the Creator God, the God of the Bible, because there ARE no other "gods". Only Satan's demons impersonating gods/goddesses and accepting worship from people.

  12. Wouldn't that depend on the person asking?

  13. I think you meant to ask, "When a question about God comes up do you assume the person is referring to the god of the Bible, or just some god of any of the other 1000s of religions.

In our society, when people say God, they usually mean the Judeo-Christian God.  So, when people mention God, I think it's safe to bet that there referring to that particular God.  Though we should never jump to hasty conclusions.

  14. It's safe to assume they're talking about the Abrahamic god unless they say otherwise.

  15. mention Jesus and see if they get real mad or uneasy.

  16. You have to narrow the asker down because there ARE so many options.

  17. bible only. According to some people, the god in the bible is the only way god is and if you dont believe god is like that, then apparently you just dont believe in god. Thats the mind set of most christians

  18. run away from the person.

  19. There is only one true God.
