When a question is asked in here do you answer it with the answer it warrants

I think if you think before answering you will find that that question you refer too was a brain teaser unless you are the narrow minded type

I always do. Sometimes the warranted answer isn't what the asker wants. But, who cares?

Not always.  I have given detailed answers at a high technical level to someone who asked as stupid, air headed question... just to show them how LITTLE they know.  And I have given very short answers to people who demonstrated a knowledge of the subject that didn't require more of an answer.

The one's I LOVE though.. are the idiots who obviously don't know what they are talking about but TRY to fake it... and with those people, I apply my time tested recipe of MESSING WITH THEIR HEADS... it's the old thing of ... don't get mad... just mess with their heads.

Yes, unless its a perverted question (i've come across loads on yahoo answers) in which case I will tell them that they are odd.

Yeah, someone asks a stupid question, they get stupid answer (or at least one that makes them see how stupid they are). I sometimes help people as well, but there are not many people here that deserve help

YES - if the question asks facts, I answer with facts ( sometimes a net search for additional information ).  If the question wants an opinion, I rely on my experiences and my opinion ( got plenty of those like most people ).

If the question warrants a good answer, it warrants a good answer. However if a question is ambigious mix of innenuendo & spite, a good answer is really not worth the trouble.

I actually try to , but so many of the questions posed are just political rants or stupidity disguised as a question.
