  1. Being that you have to melt to measure, and then add variable amounts it is always dry so you can get a precise measurement. By the way that is half a stick.

  2. Is a past tense so it means a clarified. and beside solid butter comes to a grams when measure to be accurate.

  3. If it says melted butter then you measure it after it's melted.

If it says solid butter, and then melt it, then they mean measure it before it's melted.

  4. liquid.

  5. It does not make any difference. I always cut the butter in the wrapper using the guidelines they have printed on there and then I melt only what I have to. Save the rest for your toast in the morning!

  6. It means before it's melted.

  7. before.  should be relatively the same.

  8. I've always measured it from the stick wrapper and then nuked it in the microwave.  I think it is the same.  Unless you are using some kind of whipped butter or margarine, it should be the same.

  9. liquid

  10. liquid...if it says melted before butter its melted. If it says melted after the word butter then its solid butter

  11. liquid form...be careful melting it in microwave..it can make a mess

  12. You need to melt it, then measure it.

  13. 1/4 cup of melted butter is just that.....melted butter. it should be in the liquid state

  14. its a 1/4 before melted. so its 2 oz or half a stick of butter.
