He even said this for quite a few times, “call me later”

I meant for female customers of course.

  1. Well, call it customer service or call it flirting.  Sometimes it's both.  But it would depend on how he's flirting to determine whether he's interested in you or if he's trying to make you feel comfortable.  In my line of work, I pay a lot of money out to many different companies.  Sometimes I'll get nasty calls demanding to be paid.  Or sometimes I'll need to get some assistance from different departments to get my job done.  I will flirt with these people in order to get my job done.  This is not the type of flirting that one would do with someone they have sexual or romantic interest in.  This is the type of friendly flirting that puts people at ease to help aid in positive communication.  My type of flirting in the office is in no way unethical or unprofessional, but I would call it a type of flirting.

Unless a salesman is being extremely personal in his type of flirting or customer service, I would instantly think he was merely being friendly to put customers at ease during their business transactions.

  2. In my experience, extra-nice salespeople are usually:

    a) trying to get ahead in the company, or

    b) new on the job and haven't become cynical about it yet.

But "call me later" would sound flirtatious in certain contexts.

  3. if hes door to door sales see if he tried the same on other females in the street, remember if hes this flirty to you he can be to others also, beware he may be a flirt & have a woman already, or you just took him by suprise with your good looks & great personality.

  4. I think the interpretation means what you want it to mean. If you want him to be flirting with you, then you go along with that route, and you can make it about more than just selling something. If you aren't interested in that, then you can easily turn the situation to strictly business.

  5. Well if he said "call me", I think he is doing it for more than the product.  But do know him outside of the store, are you a regular there?  That may factor into it too.

  6. Depends if he gets comission or not.

However, if he was telling you to call him, I think the answer is pretty obvious.

  7. It depends on what they are selling...

A car or house: It's probably an attempt to make more sales

Someone selling you dish soap : Probably flirting

  8. No, it means he really wants to pad his pay check with some commision $$$ and will do anything to make a sale. Sales men/ women are nothing but glorified husslers...lol... I know, my husband was one when we were in high school... they are all the same. As soon as you walk out that door that guy didnt even give you a second thought.
