I was really trying hard at soccer today...and my goalie and assistant coaches kept saying "good job taylor and nice punt, pass, run, throw, dive, block etc"

Are they meaning it or are they just being nice by keeping me in a positive mood?

  1. If they didn't mean it, they would be "coaching" you to do it the way they want you to. Coaches can give you encouraging ways to do things different, but they'll never encourage you to do it wrong. The point is to win.

  2. I think either they think that you think that you don't think highly of yourself, or they really mean it. I think more your coach really meant it, coaches are not part of the team to make jokes and lie. And I think you should take that as a complement because I would say the hardest position to be is Goalie

  3. They appreciate you and want you to stay around. They are showing their love.
