  1. YES

  2. When a tree is cut it can grow again but not all the trees like palms. If you cut a palm tree it will never grow again because there is only one growing point. In dicot trees the stem has the property to develop adventitious shoot buds through which it can form new branches and can grow again.  In fact this property of copice shoot formation is used in commercial plantations. A fully grown tree is cut for commercial purpose leaving a stem of about 1 meter still inside the soil.  In the next sprouting season new shoots emerge out. Out of the many shoots that are formed, single, healthy, fast growing  shoot is selected and allowed to grow. This is how the plantation is maintained without planting new plants.

  3. Plants have totipotency. But when a tree is cut, it can either grow from the cut point or not depending on whether it has active cambium or not. So it depends on kind of tree.

  4. It depends on what tree you cut. There are lots of trees that doesnt grow. Few trees will grow even if it is uprooted. For more clarifications contact gardenergod.com.

  5. yes .but only in rare cases.

  6. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. It all depends on the location and how hard you try to keep it alive. Usually, the farther down it's been cut, the less of a chance it will grow back from that location. Also, if you cut it at an angle rather than just straight across it will have a better chance of growing back. Meaning, if you cut it flat out, like, where each side has a right angle when you look at it, it will have a less chance of growing back then if you were to cut it at an angle meaning one side is an obtuse angle, the other is an acute. It also depends on how young the tree is. Usually trees are already dead and people just don't know it yet. The younger the tree the better chance it has of living. Usually, if you give it about two or more feet to grow, in a tree under 30 years, it'll grow back with care. I hope I was able to help.

  7. I think a tree does not grow but some stem cutters like hibiscus and rose grow back from where it has been cut.
