  2. It's natural. It's due to the motion of the water.. going onto the beach and then receding back into the ocean.. just before a new wave sets up.

    ;)

  3. waves are in a circular motion yes it would pull you towards it as it rolled towards you

  4. Its all in your head or your actually going backwards.

I feel like that too sometimes, when I came back at the ocean I felt like I was going back and forth but it was all inmy head.

  5. Naw not unless you are surfing a tsunami. Sea or oceanic waves jsut send energy up and down. If they sent energy backwards and forwards that could be harnessed for renewable energy and isn't

  6. Yes, it happened to me in the Philippines. We went to this beach called "Puerto Galera" or "Port of Galleon". When we landed on the beach, we strolled for a minute then went to the wave. Then it hits you in the foot. After that, the wave started to go back. Then you will feel it that you are being pulled by the wave. You will also able to feel the wave when you're sitted. I know you will drink some water when the wave comes in. But when it goes back, you will be pulled. It's all about gravity.

  7. Yea, that is normal. The wave gathers water as it is moving and it pulls you with it. If you are bodyboarding i recommend that you get yourself some fins (flippers) that will enable you to go forward when it is pulling you back.

don't worry that sensation is normal... it is all part of the joy of the ocean :D

    Hope that helped

  8. it's just the wave building up. the water can't just pull water from sky it needs to pull the water in front of it.

this is the best i could find
