When a website asks for your relationship status, there is taken single and open. what does open mean?

Open to having an type of relationship. (ie: Bisexual relationships, --somes, or anything else in that frame of mind.) But mostly meaning Bi.

An open relationship is a type of relationship, not a designation of your sexuality. In an open relationship, the partners are free to have other sexual partners and dating lives. It's sort of in between taken and single - because you're in a relationship with one person, but you're free to be with other people.
