  1. as low as 500mph as fast as mach 2.5

  2. Cruising speed of a commercial jet is just over 500mph.

  3. It depends greatly on the type of aircraft, and altitude.  Escape velocity for the space shuttle is some 17,000 miles per hour while headed to space, while the average passenger jet reaches about 500-600 miles per hour at about 40,000 feet.

  4. fast baby fast

    vrooooooommmm

  5. Super sonic, as in concorde.

There is a theory that we can not travel faster than the speed of light. Therefore, hyperthetically, anything up to that could be possible.

    the speed of light = 299 792 458 m / s

  6. Depends on the aircraft.

  7. Different regions might have policies, but it's generally unlimited over international waters.  However there was some recent grunting about sonic booms.

Last few I designed were Global Expresses and could go up to 0.9 speed of sound (maybe a touch more) at 65,000 feet with Rolls Royce/BMW engines.  It's much more efficient to fly slower than sound and cruising altitude is about 35,000 feet or around 10 kilometres.

  8. 580

  9. That depends on how much thrust its engines can exert...an SR-71 Blackbird, for example, can travel three times the speed of sound.

  10. The problems become critical when the heat barrier is reached. Airframes become hot, due to the friction of the air molecules. Concord used to stretch six inches and the fuel tanks had to be modified to take into account this expansion, so too to the blackbird spy plane. Composite materials make life so much easier, but these, too, have their drawbacks. Theoretically, and as long as you can go high enough and carry the oxidants, the sky is the limit.

  11. 600 mph i think.
