When an eye lash goes in your eye and just disappears, where do they go?

and is it possible for it to be permanently stuck? what happens if then... i think i have an eyelash in my eye and i cant get it out... its just stuck somewhere...

It might be stuck under either of the eyelids, or stuck to the edge of one of the eyelids, or maybe "washed up on shore" at the corner of the eye near the nose. Some times they are really hard to find. Also. it might have fallen out of your eye from blinking.
