When an investagating Police officer reads the medias take on a crime they are working on ?

  1. Well i would hope they know more than the media and as such are able to be objective


  2. that they are probably better off working it out themselves

  3. All police forces/ Press Officers have there own trusted journalists. they will be the first to know any of any developments.

    They ignore / laugh at the peripheral reporting which they know, is not true or even near the mark.

    If they are investigating a current crime they do NOT have time to read newspapers.

It depends what the media's take is.  They have their own opinions on the cases they investigate, which may be similar to the media's opinion.  More likely though with the papers being so inaccurate most of the time, I would imagine that the majority of the time they will just feel frustrated!
