We are going to be in Rome at the end of October and want to see the Roma v. Lazio soccer (football/calcio) game. How can you buy tickets (the Roma website is in Italian - no English translation)? When do tickets become available to buy?

  1. I LUV SOCCER! but did u try the soccer store. its international it got me my brazilian tickets

  2. As far as I know, the is the only site online for buying AS Roma tickets:

www.listicket.it (click on the upper right for English).

There are some ticket dealers in Rome but I'd do it online if I were you. Much easier. I've used this site and their 800 number (good if you speak Italian, I don't know if they speak English) and they are legit.

Be warned: You are going to need the full name and birthdates of everyone who's getting a ticket when you place the order. And everyone will need their ID to get the tickets and get into the stadium.

And the person whose credit card is used must be there to pick up the tickets or authorize someone else to do so. This requires a letter in Italian with a copy of an official ID and the credit card to be possessed by the person picking the tickets up. Suffice it to say, it is easier if the person who pays for the ticket is going to the game.

    Hope this helps!

******ADDITIONAL NOTE: Tickets for most Italian soccer games don't go on sale until about a week before the match. This can be maddening for those trying to get tickets (there are preseason sales but once those are over, you have to wait). Part of the reason for this is that matches are sometimes played in anticipo (ahead of time on Saturday nights) or posticipo (Sunday night after the regular scheduled matches that afternoon) and those are decided at the last minute. The games that get these time slots are generally the most important games and Roma-Lazio could definitely fall into that category as it is a big rivalry and Roma is among the leading teams this season.

Anyway, my point is that you may have to keep on top of ticket sales, checking back often to find out when they are available for sale.

  3. This is a website that sells tickets for both Roma and Lazio matches. http://www.romalazio.co.uk/ I can't vouch for their service - I live in northern Italy and have been to games in Bologna, Verona, Modena, and Parma. I just go to the boxoffice at the stadium to get tickets though.

I would think carefully about going to a match between rivals like this though - there is sometimes violence. You might want to read the English articles on this website from the 2004 Rome derby: http://www.asromaultras.it/0304lazioroma...
