When and how is the best time to tell our 3year old daughter we are expecting?

She is very smart, and talks alot. We just found out 2days ago. How did you share the news with your children?

my brother got baught a toy when i was born make it sound good she might say somthing like im going to throw it out the window if its a girl this is what my brother said he was five so say your going to have a little brother or sister would you like that and tell her when the baby is afew months old atlest (tummy months

make it fun like getting a puppy or somthing i d k i never tryed to tell a kid im haveing another 1 coz i dont have a first 1 lol good luck

hi, im now 30 weeks pregnant with my 3rd, i have a 1 year old and a just turned 3 year old daughter and we told them both from day one that there was going to be another baby and they were both ok about it, i dont think you have anything to  worry about, my kids didnt really no much til i started showing now they both poke my bellybutton saying baby in there and pull my top up and kiss my belly, its really cute, hope this helps and congratulations,xx oh if your not planning on telling anyone til 3 months then maybe u shudnt say anything to her til then,  especially if she is talking alot, just to be on the safe side.lolxx

I would definitely wait until AFTER the 3 month mark...and I would tell her BEFORE I tell everyone else.  She is 3 and the sister...she will want to feel special.  Make sure you let her know that she will always be special no matter what.  They have books out there that could prepare her for the up and coming arrival.  When I was expecting another baby...I bought my son children books that celebrated being a big brother.  I even took him to a Saturday class (he was 4 than) at the local hospital that just helped ease him into his new roll.  I think it was called Big Brother/Big Sister class.  You may want to look into that.  Good Luck....
