The high price of gasoline is about to get higher in B.C. once the provincial government’s carbon tax is fully implemented.







Starting July 1, the price of gas will increase 2.4 cents a litre, and by 2012 it will be 7.25 cents more. And heating your home will also cost more with an extra 2.8 cents tax on both natural gas and furnace oil.

Finance Minister Carole Taylor officially introduced the Carbon Tax Act in the legislature on Monday, saying the tax will encourage families and businesses to lower their carbon footprint by using less fossil fuel.

The new tax is a hit with environmentalists and academics who filled the spectators gallery at the legislature to show their support.

Groups such as the Sierra Club and the David Suzuki Foundation have said taxing fossil fuels makes British Columbia a leader in the fight against climate change.

But the New Democrat Opposition says the carbon tax is unfair for northerners who will pay more for home heating oil, and unfair for rural residents who don’t have public transit and have no choice but to drive.

Its Starting folks. The truths to those “Theories” that a carbon Tax would be “Implemented”. Her is the truth for one. Were being taxed for “Exhailing” in other words. Are we not OVER TAXED already? Then, to want to add another mind boggling Tax, to Tax what we Exhale what we breath in. People, are getting tired of this yet? Are you upset knowing your food is going to cost you in deciding if you want to eat or if you want electricity. That isn’t a Big issue to the Rich, but i think you all know what catagory we all are sitting here in. Look at those trying to survive on Minumum wages? You going to pay for those rising costs on 6.55 cents an hour? Come on! Whats it take for you all to wake up and get upset your being Taken advantage of? Are you going to wait till they give your kids a vaccine that will kill them short time after? Why wait. Express your fears and your angers at this Governing Greedy MONGREL they are. Who do they think they are? Better than you and me, Or worse, Think there Better than God? What a revelation that man will destroy the thing that God made and it was good. Then Man took it over. I wonder where the Problem started? History Tells us……Its World Leaders or PRESIDENTS” OR kings OF YEARS PAST.

It's been here 4 billion years before we came along and it no doubt will still be here long after we're gone.

It really is the height of human narcissism to think that we wield the kind of power to destroy entire planets the way the nut-so environmental terrorists would have have everyone believe.
