When applying for a job do you have to give education information? I dropped out of the 9th grade and Im trying to get a GED. I don’t believe it looks good on your application " Last Grade Completed: 8th". If I leave that blank is there a change they will still hire me?...talking bout fast food here, nothing fancy.

  1. yes

  2. Your educational qualifications is important in your job application, which shall form part of your permanent files in the company. It may not seem so important for your entry job, to which you may be qualified, but it will form part of the criteria for any future transfers or promotions. It would be best to be honest about it, than to be caught flat footed later on.

  3. If this is an application for fast food, I wouldn't worry. They tend to put applications in line and hire people whose applications are at the front.

What you should do is go ahead and be truthful in the section that asks for education. Then, there should be another section that asks if you want to write down any additional info. Write down as many positive things about yourself as you can that show that you are a good fit. For example, if you're great at math or at computing change in your head, mention that to show that you'd be good at the register...After completing the application, show your face at least once a week, so that the manager knows you're interested, and will keep your application towards the front.

  4. Depends on the owner, but I've been told (by someone trying to get her GED) that in the area where I live, even fast food places won't hire you unless you are in high school, have graduated from high school, or have a GED

  5. If they ask (and they all ask), you have to answer.
