When applying for a job online, does it take longer to get hired than applying in person?

  1. no one has ever been hired on-line

    all employers will want to meet with and interview you face to face at some point.

    so to answer the question as you have it.....YES

    to answer what you meant it will depend on the job you are applying for

    there are some employers that actually prefer on-line applications and these are generally very effective for corporate, management and white-collar jobs. the problem with applying on-line is many employers accept applications on-line unsolicited and you don't even know if they are hiring. when you apply in person you will always know the employers intentions and at least the prospect for employment.

Not necessarily.   I have trued online and in person.  It is really how urgent a company is looking for a qualified person.  In the market these days, they might hire someone with a little more experience.  You need to know what you are good at and pursue it 100% by following up constantly showing that your are persistent.  

  3. No. I always thought it did, but applying online got me my job, and a couple other interviews.
