For example, if I were to apply to accounting, rather than finance, would I have a better chance getting in? Or is admissions treated the same for all applications, regardless of selection of concentration?

  1. You don't apply for an MBA concentration, you apply for an MBA program which is a general degree preparing students for all areas of management. concentrations in the MBA program is they exist at all, mean 2-3 courses in a selected field in your second year.

MBA programs select students on three criteria: Undergraduate GPA, GMAT score, and work experience. You can improve your chances of getter into the program of your choice by finding the program best for you in the Official MBA Guide, a free service.
