I want to apply to Mercer University in November for the early action plan. Do i need to fill out the Fafsa in time for that, or fill it out for the regular February deadline?

  1. If you're applying for the Fall 2009 term, then if my mind serves me correctly from doing it this year, you can't apply for FAFSA until January of 2009 if you want it to be applied to the Fall 2009 Academic term.  If you apply now, you'll just have to apply again next year so better to wait.

And a word to the wise, forget about FAFSA.  Worry more about scholarships at this point.  What a lot of people don't tell you is that the deadline for most of the bigger ones is early into the year.  Most in October and some even as early as August!

Good luck with Mercer.  I almost went there until I decided UGA was a better choice for me.
