My son is 2 weeks and I've always feared having a colic baby. He is fine so far. My little couusin was colic from birth for about 4 months and it was h**l for my aunt. I feel bad because I feel like I cant enjoy him just because Im always thinking what if he'll turn colic. I am a first time mom and everything is so new to me.

  1. you can read up on this at http://www.easyninemonths.com/thrush.com

  2. I heard anytime between birth to three months and after is less likely. I guess for your cousin it does happen after three months. don't stress over it, if it happens you'll deal with it.

  3. colic starts at6 weeks and is normally done with around 12 weeks old.. earlier people would label a fussy baby colic..you aunts baby maybe need a formula change or a change in the aunts diet if breast feeding..

  4. My son was one month old when he developed it. My daughter never did. I hope my third child doesn't either. But I know what to do in case he/she does ;)

  5. Babies can develop colic right from birth. Lots of patience is required. Treatments range from sound to vibrations. Good Luck. None of my children had it,but my daughters daughter did.

  6. Found this on the net..hope it helps =]

The condition typically appears within the first two weeks of life and almost invariably disappears, often very suddenly, before the baby is three to four months old.[1] It is more common in bottle-fed babies, but also occurs in breast-fed infants.
