When are jelly fish on the beach in the gulf?

I just got to Gulf Shores, AL on vacation and went swimming in the ocean and there were jelly fish in the water stinging me and my brothers. Is there a certain time the are along the sores like that? Certain time of day? Certain time of year?

No they just wash in now and then..I do notice when it gets really hot they tend to be in pieces throughout the water..that leaves you being stung all over..http://www.dnr.sc.gov/marine/pub/seascie...
