  1. depends on ability -my daughter's been riding since she was 4 years old.

  2. My kids went on alone when they were 8

  3. When they're big enough to get on and off without assistance. I did it alone when I was like 10 and that was the first time I had ever been on a chairlift. =]

  4. When they can correctly spell allowed.

  5. Depends on the rules of who is running the chairlift.  In our area, different resorts have different rules on ages.. so your best bet is to call whomever is running the chairlift and ask. Good luck.

  6. I see 7-8 year olds alone when I go, but it doesn't depend on your age it depends on ability.

You may have a 5 year old that has lived in Austria since he was born and can ski like h**l, and a 15 year old that is skiing for his first time ever. The 15 year old should really have someone supervising him because he could be a danger to other skiers, but the 5 year old is safe. In that case, if you are a good skier, it's up to your parents to trust you. I wouldn't let an 8 year old go up and down by himself unless he was a really strong skier, and met up with me every half hour or so to say how he was doing, and only went on certain slopes that he had done before hand with me.

So 8-9 if they are strong skiers, but if they wern't that good I wouldn't let them until they were good.

    Have fun skiing!
