When are mice most active?

I have a mouse in my house and I was just curious when mice are most active. I have set traps and am hoping the mouse will be dead by morning.

they are most active at night, where ever you set the trap, make sure its dark. and if you have one, you probable have a whole nest

I am no expect, but I live in a field where when they mess with anything outside the mice tend to come inside.  It is best to catch them at night.  Mice are very afraid of humans so the don't come out during the day because there are afraid of you.  Another trick I learned from expiercence is that peanut butter on old fashioned mouse traps works way better than cheese and better than glue traps.

They are most active when you are not

I agree with the second response...i don't really think it has to do with day or night...it's about the quiet and no one around

they also sell these electronic deterant devices...they really do work, down side you need on in every room...that way there is no dead or injured mice to contend with (or live release )
